Dignitaries Who Visited the School during 1988-1994

The school always focussed on extra-curricular activites, and many programs were held in Gymnasium hall of the school. The distiguished persons who visited the school on different occassions include Swami Atmasthananda-ji (then Secretary of Purulia Ramakrishna Mission), Swami Baikunthananda-ji, Swami Sanatanananda-ji, Prof. Chiita Ranjan Das Gupta, Freedom fighter Sushil Dhara, Prof Ranju Gopal Mukhopadhyaya,  Novelist Shirshendu Mukhopadhyaya etc. (I guess, I remember the last two mentioned guests correctly...).

How to Visit the School

The school is almost 13 KM away from the Panskura bus stop on NH-6, and 15 KM from Panskura rail station in the Howrah-Kharagpur section of South-Eastern Railway. Also one can go to the school via Keshapat bus stop in Panskura-Ghatal state highway. Also one can reach SS Patna via Golgram bus stop on the Lowada - Trilochanpur bus route. Bus service and and Trecker service is there (although, inadequate in my opinion) for communication. Once a remote area, but now the surrounding area of the school is developing very fast. It is surrounded by two girls school, a co-ed degree college (Siddhinath Mahavidyalay), a private B.Ed college, a block hospital, a bank - Union Bank of India (I guess, now there should be few more branches of other banks), Telephone exchange, Post Office etc.
